Fischer, Martin.
The Permanent Palette.

Mountain Lake Park National Publishing Society: 1930. 1st edition.

A serious study of the impermanence of certain pigments and other materials and what the painter can do to avoid this problem. Fischer bemoans the fact that even as he writes some of the finest work of the late 19th and early 20th century was beginning to fade and change color. Includes a short but important bibliography of the subject.

Hardcover. 6.5"x9.5", xiii + 134 pages, plus 4 color plates. Pictorial covers, a little soiled and dusty. Small stab wound in the spine affects our mood but does not affect the contents pages lightly toned.
