An interesting offprint from The Magazine Antiques. George Barton Cutten, long an enthusiast and researcher of New York area silversmiths, retired from his post as President of Colgate University in 1942 and moved to Chapel Hill. He also wrote histories of silversmithing in Georgia and Virginia.

Pamphlet. 9.5"x12", 4 pages (including covers), 7 b/w illustrations, showing 29 pairs of sugar tongs. Light wear, slight crease across the center.
