Williams furnished his Maine home with very fine Colonial American furniture and his Manhattan apartment in 18th century English mahogany. His superlative collection of clocks included three examples from the Wethersfield Collection, including pieces by Edward East and Joseph Knibb, and American examples including clocks by Jonathan Mulliken, David Wood, three different Willards, and a "rare miniature grandfather clock" from New England.
