Forsyth, Angus & Brian McElney. Jades from China. Bath The Museum of East Asian Art: 1994. "Three hundred and fifty four exquisite jade pieces are presented here in stunning color photographs. Included are an elegant curved and drilled blade of green marbled jade, some 4,000 years old a delicately carved Han dynasty dragon, pale green-white in an openwork disk just over an inch in diameter, perhaps made around the time of Christ and a graceful leaf-shaped tray carved so thin it is almost transparent, yet with an integral ring link that shows both were cut together from the same large piece. With a text in English and Chinese, this exhibit catalog from the Museum of East Asian Art in Bath, England, catalogs pieces spanning approximately seven millennia, from Neolithic times up to the early 19th century". Hardcover. 9"x11.5", 423 pages, hundreds of color illustrations, dust jacket. New condition.
