New York Parke-Bernet Galleries: May 21-22nd, 1964. Sale 2287. Some nice English furniture, silver and porcelains. The Shakespearian "memorabilia" comprises lots 92-138 and mostly consists of pottery and other busts, some of which are illustrated. There is also a massive carved oak mantel with scenes from the 'Merchant of Venice' (illustrated) and eight lots of carved mulberry inkwells and goblets (not illustrated) said to have been carved from a tree Shakespeare planted.
