Werner, E.T.C. Chinese Weapons. Los Angeles Ohara Publications: 1974. 2nd printing. An historical study of types of weapons, their history and uses. Illustrated with line drawings rather than photographs of antique weapons, but still of great interest. First published in 1932, by the Royal Asiatic Society, Peking Branch. Two days after the proofs had been delivered, Japanese bombers destroyed the printer's building, and with it the original manuscript and printing plates.
